"February"
Cover Story
February 1 - Every so often a photo, a
story, comes along and it begs to be printed.
Especially if the month, the story, the plane are all
February. I was discussing aviation with a friend in
Colorado and as a result he shared this story with photos.
The cover photo is by Warren Parkes who was killed in a
aviation photo shoot some years ago. His wife gave
permission to use the outstanding photo on this issue.
Denis Godfrey of Montrose (CO) shared his ride in
"February", a P-51 owned by Chris Woods. For the
entire story, go

Unusual Photo
January 28 - We've all seen Photoshop
doctored photos of interesting subjects. This
website explains that the photo is authentic. I
don't know, but if it is, it is most interesting.
I'll let you judge. Here is the
page for the photo.

January 5 - Special restrictions
should be in place for flying during the winter months.
The Pilot In Command (PIC) should check the aircraft

summer. Cold weather starts will require special care.
