September 18 - Is a Global Positioning System
(GPS) one-hundred percent reliable? For the most part, one could
say that it is very reliable, but not totally. There are coverage

Embry Riddle Relocates |

September 17 - Our local airport (Russellville,
AR) has been looking for a flight school to come on to the field.
I drove out to the airport this morning (Thursday) only to find 12
planes from Emery Riddle Flight Academy. My first impression was
that Bill Shelton, the airport manager had succeeded... And what
a catch he had made… we now had one of the nation’s leading flight
schools in our town of 23,000.

social "ice-breaker," a way to alter one's mood by decreasing
inhibitions. Alcohol consumption is widely accepted, often
providing the cornerstone of social gatherings and celebrations.
Along with cigarettes, many adolescents associate the use of
alcohol as a rite of passage into adulthood.

Where Aviation Meets Stupidity |
THIS IS INFORMATION RETRIEVED FROM

September 4 - In the bizarre new world of
innumerable temporary flight restrictions (TFRs), the FAA
determined that a law requiring TFRs over major league games meant
that the agency couldn't issue a waiver for the Cleveland National
Air Show Friday night because the Cleveland Indians will be
playing nearby.
"Ridiculous," said AOPA'S President Phil Boyer,
and the association rolled out its heavy artillery at the FAA,
TSA, and on Capitol Hill to try to get the decision changed.
