October 12 - Ehrhardt Aviation Agency began operation in 1995.  Clyde Ehrhardt, president, has over 25 years in the aviation insurance business.  His history in the aviation business has given him access to ALL the aviation insurance markets, including Lloyd’s of London.  He is currently licensed in twenty-four states.  Unlike big insurance brokerage firms, Clyde and his team work for you, not a board of directors pressuring them to bring in more clients.   

Clyde has seen both sides of the coin.  He worked for National Aviation Underwriters and Lease-a-Plane when he first started in the business, after graduating with a Bachelors of Science degree in Aviation Management with a commercial pilots license from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.  He’s found he can do more for his clients as an independent broker than he could in a big firm.   

Clyde has dreamed of the aviation scene since he was a young boy.  When he lived in California, he would watch the Ag Operators dust the vineyards.  Their graceful maneuvers reminded him of an aerial ballet.  He has had his private pilot’s license for twenty-eight years.  He has been in the insurance business for over twenty-five and underwriting for over fifteen years. 

Ehrhardt Aviation Agency insures everything including but not limited to homebuilts, Boeing 747’s, FBO’s, Helicopters, sail planes, airport liability, product liability, war coverage liability, antique aircraft, student instruction liability, space satellites, even houses built within a fly-in community and many more areas.
