APA Is
Re-Organized
The Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Pilots Association was held at Petit
Jean State Park (AR) Recreation Hall on Saturday, June 5th, 2004.
Seventeen members were present. Ed Morris opened the meeting with a
brief description of the Associations history.
The APA had been in a dormant stage for the past several years. This
attempt to re-organize was one of several over the past six years. It
appears that the interest is there for a re-organization. Initially,
the dues were set at $5 to see if there was enough interest. Today
there are 126 members in the newly re-organized Arkansas Pilots
Association.
The Constitution of
the APA states that the Annual Meeting of the Association must be held
sometime during the months of April, May, or June. At the June meeting,
the assembled members and proxy voters are to elect three Directors from
each of the five APA Districts in the state plus one Director-at-Large.
The Directors have a normal term of three years.
These are the newly
elected Board of Directors.
