Oshkosh AirVenture Thursday

July 30 - Wild and crazy plane happenings all day yesterday.  Lots of shoppers for the vendors, lots of air show activities (event with the rain).  Yes, it rained at Oshkosh... hard rain and on and off rain.  Then it cleared, and the show began...  In the end there was sunshine again.  The air show was interesting.  Some of the performers flew in the rain, some got sunshine.

It seems like you walk 25 miles up and down the runway and thru the exhibits, perhaps you do.  Either way your body tells you that after 12 hours of walking and talking that it is time to go to the room and rest.

Here are some of the photos of today's AirVenture.

Burt Rutan returned this year to AirVenture.  Aircraft that are on display include a C-5A Galaxy, C-141 "Hanoi Taxi", Lockheed Super Constellation, and lots of Warbirds.  More than 500 forums, seminars and demonstrations covering everything from building an airplane to sessions with legendary aviation personalities.  More than 800 commercial exhibitors are showing their wares..

Sean D. Tucker,  Gene Soucy, Patty Wagstaff, and the X-Team, better known as the "Masters of Disasters."  It is without the wildest, craziest, aerobatic combination you will ever see.

AIR SHOW QUALITY TIME >>>>>

What is AirVenture worth to Oshkosh, the city?  About $80,000,000...  not bad for a week's work, is it?  Without doubt, it is quite a show.
