Ridge Has Reunion
March 3 - The 2006 WRAAF Reunion will be April 7 and 8, 2006 at the
former Walnut Ridge Army Air Field. The Walnut Ridge Army Flying
School Museum will be open Friday from Noon until 4:00 P.M.
There will be a Dutch treat dinner at the Bonanza in Pocahontas on
Friday evening at 5:00 P.M. with a showing of the documentary, "Wings of
Honor." Registration will begin Saturday morning at 9:00 A.M. in
the Airport Terminal Building. Activities include museum and air field
tours, Oral history taping, silent auction, viewing of full-length
"Wings of Honor" documentary interviews, BT-13 rides for former WWII air
field personnel, musical entertainment, lots of good refreshments and
more. Books on the History of the Walnut Ridge Army Air Field
and "Wings of Honor" Videos will be available for purchase at a special
price. The air field will also be hosting National SCCA Pro Solo
races and Iron Mountain Spring Festival on that weekend, so there will
