May 25 - The Sharp County Regional Airport (CVK)

the 50th Anniversary Celebration of Cherokee Village (AR).
The celebration will entail a BBQ dinner on Friday, June 10th;
followed by a Pancake Breakfast, Mixed Golf Scramble, Lake Tours,
Antique Car Show, and Dinner Dance to conclude the activities on
Saturday.
A dedication ceremony will occur on Saturday
afternoon to recognize the founder of Cherokee Village, John H. Cooper.
Mr. Cooper, founder of Cooper Communities initiated this retirement
community in the Ozark foothills in 1955. Today, it is a city of 4,648,

Center, or a visit to the other attractions which will highlight the
anniversary celebration will make your visit worthwhile. A shuttle
service will be available for pilots and their passengers to Town Center
and/or the golf course.
