Dear
Ralph:
I have two suggestions:
One, already mentioned in your $100 Hamburger series, is
Lambert’s Café in Sikeston, MO (SIK).
Great food, home style atmosphere, and they will pick you up and bring
you back. Flight crews get to go to the front of the line. Large
portions, throw'ed rolls, and don’t forget the fried okra.
Suggestion #2 is the Plane
Good Restaurant in the FBO at Fayetteville, AR’s
Drake Field (FYV). This is the second incarnation of a Restaurant
there, but the ladies that do the cooking know what they are doing.
They have a buffet line, but the best hamburgers I have had in a long
time. They are open for breakfast, but closed on
Sundays. The FBO is run by the City of Fayetteville, and they
have full service as well as self serve fuel and very friendly
service.
