FAA Extends Drug Testing Exemption

The FAA has granted a two-year extension on AOPA's blanket exemption from drug testing requirements for charity sightseeing flights. Under the exemption, AOPA members may take part in up to four charity fundraisers per calendar year by offering sightseeing flights without taking part in the FAA's random drug testing program as required by FAR 135.251, 135.255, and 135.353.
