Date Event Name & Location

Thursday, June 19.

The open house and fly-in by the Dew Line Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force on Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the CAF hangar at Tradewind Airport in Amarillo.  There is no admission charge and we are expecting a big crowd with several airplanes on display.  This event is to honor our veterans and we plan to have several tributes to them during the day.  If you have an airplane you would like to have on static display or maybe do a fly-over, you are more than welcome to bring it.  We will have free coffee and donuts for pilots and passenger early arrivals.

We have several activities planned throughout the day.  If you would like to be involved, we could really use your help.  We will be selling T-shirts, hats, raffle tickets, water and soft drinks.  We will be having some items up for auction in the afternoon.  We may need help in directing traffic and crowd control.  We can always use people who love to talk about flying and airplanes.

Saturday evening around 6:00 or 6:30 we will be having a catered bar-b-q dinner at the hangar.  We will be honoring three of our WWII veterans at this dinner.  The cost of the dinner is $9.00 per person and reservations will need to be made by 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19.  We would be honored to have you attend.  Guests are welcome.
