Fly-in Eateries:

Grider Field Restaurant, Pine Bluff, AR (PBF) -- Good food and an airport, what more could a pilot want.  At the Pine Bluff Airport there is a nice little airport restaurant.  The Girder Field Restaurant is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p. m.  Monday through Friday.  Each Friday night they are open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. for a seafood buffet..  During the week you may order from the menu or buffet for just $5.97..   The seafood buffet on Friday is $11.00 plus drink and tax.  It certainly is worth the flight to Pine Bluff, AR for that $100.00 hamburger.  The food is good and the atmosphere is 100 percent aviation.  The airport at Pine Bluff is in excellent condition, 5,898 feet of asphalt (new asphalt being applied 10/01) at 206 feet msl.  CTAF freq is 123.00 Mhz.  Check with Flight Service for any restrictions over the Pine Bluff Arsenal.  If you want catered service waiting for you at PBF simply call 870 536-4293…   Betty Ann and Theo Harper are the owners.  While you’re at the PBF FBO take a look at a framed picture on the wall.  It is a license issued to a Pine Bluff resident George McCauley signed off by Orville Wright.  It is just a copy of the original, but worth a viewing.  If you need a $100 Hamburger we suggest you take off to Pine Bluff for good food at good prices.
