With May come May
flowers! And it is about time. Along with the
flowers, we see the beginning of fly-in’s, air shows, air
camping, AirVenture, Copperstate, and flying everywhere.
Perhaps, this lull in the weather (whenever it begins) should
bring with it more students to the flight schools. The longer
days help.
If you want to follow the air show circuit,
go to our website
www.fly-low.com for air events through the rest of the
year. We publish two months events with each paper issue, due
to space limitations. Thanks to the room available on the
Internet, we can post the entire year. We update it each
month. If your air event is not on our list, simply e-mail the
info to
airmail@fly-low.com and we will post it. We will accept
2003 events today, if you have the information. It would be
nice if you would notify us of any changes in those dates,
should one occur. |

It seems that things are returning to
normal, more or less, in aviation. There was just one reported
incursion of the three mile TFR at the Pine Bluff Arsenal last
month. That is an improvement. There is still good reason to
call FSS for a report before we fly. They need the practice,
anyway. Most importantly, keep up to date with things going on
by checking websites often. Three good sites to check are:
www.aopa.org,
www.aero-news.net, and
www.eaa.org. On our site you will find many fine links to
other aviation sites, check them out.
We have a couple of things in the works for
future issues and we could us your help. We are collecting
aviation-personalized license plates from any state. Our plan
is to use the pictures in a future issue. Another project is to
find young pilots who actually have flown, not solo of course.
The age needs to be younger than fifteen. A profile on a couple
of them is planned. So if you know of anyone who fits the
‘bill’ or if you have a picture of your license plate, email it
to
airmail@www.fly-low.com. |
