WEBSITE UPDATED
With the coming of the New Year, I decided to
revamp our website to give the visitor more of a eFly-Low. The site now
has more information and will be updated daily. I think the new site
appearance will be much better for aviators. Our links to the FAA,
AOPA, and other sites that provide TFR, weather, and safety information
will benefit the pilot who wants to fly safely. The site will have
stories posted on the front page as soon as they are available. If
there is a problem in the United States, where aviators need to be
aware, we will have the alert posted. There will be other changes as
the year progresses, but I wanted to get a new and updated version
running at the first of 2004. Bookmark our site and return often for
aviation news. If you have a favorite aviation website, sent it and I
will, occasionally, link sites received from our front page.
This site is more interactive than the old site. I
hope to be able to communicate news and facts at a faster rate than the
static site we had before. Times change and we must change with them.
FLY-LOW has changed since its inception. The changes were
made by the feedback of our readers. We will continue to change to meet
the demands of the public. So keep on talking to us.
14 NEW OR IMPROVED TFRs
POSTED
Homeland Security and the FAA posted 14 new or
revised TFRs as NOTAMs the first week of January. If you are unaware of
them, go to
www.fly-low.com for a link to the FAA website to see if your area is
affected. For sure, check with FSS before you fly if you are not
current on NOTAMs.
U. S. POSTAL SERVICE
APPOLIGIZES….Yeah, Right???
Our subscribers may have had a delay in getting the
January issue. We aren’t sure. Several subscribers we spoke with said
they did not receive the January issue on time. We mailed it on
December 29th. On January 9th we mailed out a
second batch (postage free - thanks to the Post Office loosing the first
batch). Of course, they didn’t pay for the labor or cost of the
magazines. Just the postage...
We don’t know if you, as subscribers, received one
or two of the January issue. Now you know why you experienced a delay
or received two. I mailed one to my address and I have yet to receive.
I hope that everyone received at least one issue. If you received two
copies, great! Once we put it the hands of the Postal folks, we lose
total control… and it appears so do they.
Six new states are receiving FLY-LOW
for the first time this month. We now ship to Nebraska, South Dakota,
Wyoming, Utah, Indiana, and Iowa. That puts up to a total of
twenty-five states to which we ship magazines each month….. and still
growing.
